The Associated Concrete Company was founded in 1958 by Anthony (Tony) Goularte, his wife Eva, and three friends from San Jose Transit Mix Company. In 1966, Tony bought out the other partners, which allowed his family to become more involved in the operation. The company has been a family owned and operated business ever since.

Tony's eldest son, Anthony, got involved in the business as a young boy, learning the skills and knowledge required to run a successful business. In 1976, after Anthony graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Business, he returned to his father's business to become Vice President and General Manager. His past experience at the company and his hard work have allowed the company to stay on top in the competitive concrete industry. Associated Concrete serves contractors in San Martin, Gilroy, and the surrounding areas.
Associated Concrete Company is very involved in the community. They help the community by giving of time, knowledge, effort and materials. They have also helped build new local ballparks, Machado School restoration and assisted with the construction of Memorial Square in Morgan Hill. Anthony prides himself on being a community player. Associated Concrete was voted business of the year in 2000 and Anthony was voted man of the year in 1996 by the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce. He also supports the community outside of the business by serving on South Valley National Bank's Advisory Council. There he is able to voice his opinion for small businesses and help to make a positive impact on the community. "I have been with South Valley National Bank since they opened in 1983," said Anthony, "I feel we have similar philosophies on how we do business...quality products, exceptional service and community involvement." Associated Concrete is a unique business that continues to provide quality products and service since 1958. |
